Hackness village, a few miles from Scarborough and near our farm...
An amazing display of 47,000 hand knitted poppies.
This video shows the village hall and the cemetary, with poppies fixed to (far too many) of the gravestones, showing the price that even this tiny village paid.
What the video doesn't show is that there are also poppies fixed to the roadside fencing, for a long way in each direction.

Our village is doing the same, will try to grab some pics this weekend.

Some amazing knitted displays near me too. Respect to the people who worked so hard on the displays.

Respect to the many soldiers who have died over many centuries, for the politicians/royals who have caused them to die in wars, so often for such rotten reasons.

Lest we forget... oh, we already have in so many ways....

Just some of many reports on ex military and disabled people facing social security cuts
