Well i recently got a 400d and it came with the 18-55mm lens and i have just bought a 28-90mm lens but am waiting delivery

I am really after a fisheye lens but the problem is i dont know what to look for and i dont have a big budget the cheaper the better at the moment.

Also if a wide angle lens and a zoom lens (say upto 300mm) comes up cheap id like them but i dont know what lens/ make and models i should be looking for.

Also what other lens's would people recommend. I will be doing mainly stationary car shots and some moving cars/ wildlife/landscape shots

I would probably suggest you sell the original kit lens and the 28-90 and buy a newer IS kit lens as a start.

By fisheye, if you just mean an ultra wide angle, there are a number of 10-20 (or similar) models from Canon, Sigma, Tamron and Tokina. Second hand prices start around £250. There are fixed fisheye lenses but most seem to cost more than a UWA. You could always just buy a fisheye adapter and experiment with it on the kit lens to see if you like the effect.

With regard to a telephoto, have a look at the Canon 55-250IS, a low cost, but high quality lens that is universally recommended.

The best starter lens i have bought is the Canon 55-250is it can be bought for about £120.

And the Canon 50mmf1.8 mk2 that can be bought for about £80 a great lens for use in low light.

Hi I am using much the same camera as yourself and have recently been in the market for a new lens! After speaking with a few friends and trying out a couple of different options I settled on a 50mm f1.4 prime (sigma). Couldn't recommend the prime lens enough. Opens up so many options for different styles and situations.

I went for the Canon 50mm f1.4 some time ago and I don't regret it one bit. It's really become my "walk about lens" now, I love how sharp and vibrant the images are and I'm sure everyone loves the bokeh that's possible with these primes :D

My only minor gripe currently is that it does feel a bit too long on the crop sensor of my 450D
