Yes
I have one of these and have been able to remove dust from sensors on 2 cameras very successfully. However on a third one, whilst i was able to remove the dust, the surface became a bit smeared.
I am wondering whether I have touched the little 'felt' pad and transferred something from my fingers or whether the pad has picked up something from the sensor glass and smeared it around.
Having said that it does not seem to interfere with the camera's ability to take shots.
In any event I wonder whether one can clean the pad? Maybe sensor cleaning fluid?
Has anyone any experience of this?

My understanding is you put it in the lid and twist it round...

I suspect once it stops cleaning, it's time for a replacement tip / cap...

As stated, the twist in the cap cleans it. Don't put any liquid on it, it will ruin the tip. A good blast with a blower is recommended after use too.

maybe rub it on some newspaper?

If all else fails, I might

Could you not put the lid back on and and twist it around and around? I'm sure there's a carbon pad in there for that reason.

Yes I understand. But that bit of website seems to relate to the item for cleaning lenses, not the sensor item?
Inside the cap of the item is just a bit of foam, although, admittedly, that could be it, but nothing n instructions that came with the item relating to cleaning

Thanks. See above.

Thanks all for taking the trouble to reply

the pad recharges the tip, if its just foam then I guess its mild abrasion that removes the top layer of carbon on the tip
