You could always sell the 24-70 and get the 24-200mm f/4-6.3 VR instead. I've read good reports about that one. My issue with my Z6 is not wishing to keep swapping the FTZ in and out all the time. It's even more time consuming if you're using the SmallRig L bracket with FTZ support bracket as with that bracket in place you can't mount of dismount the adapter.. As well as the odd AF lens I use quite a few MF vintage lenses from the 60s and forwards, all of which are M42 mounts. I was contemplating getting a 14-30 and possibly even a 24-70 but that would mean having effectively 3 different mounts to use on a single body and two adapters. In real life, middle of the street, I don't want to faff around that much. As such, I binned the idea of Z lenses totally as there's only one conceivable way I can use the Z6 in a similar fashion to my D700 or D300S with regard to lens swapping. My solution has been to buy 6 M42-Nikon F infinity focus adapters, one for each of the M42 lenses I regularly use. Instead of a 16-30 Z I've bought an 18-35 AF-S. The mid range I have covered with manual lenses already and the Z6 is so quick to MF I'm fine with those for the kind of work I do. This way the FTZ stays on the camera permanently and all my lenses are F mount.
