lenses for Leica r4 ?

what lenses I can use on Leica R4 ? any 'cheap' lenses?
or only Leica?

and a way to use nikon lenses?

Whilst in theory you could use Nikon lenses as the flange to mount distance is 47mm as opposed to the Nikon 46.5mm (and the Nikon's being larger than most of the other lens mounts, which is why it is so difficult to mount anything but Nikon on a Nikon body), the 0.5mm isn't enough for an adapter really.

There's adapters to mount the R lenses on F-mount though, the other way round, if that interests you.

Tamron used to do a Leica R mount for the Adaptall II series of lens but it would be a watch on E-Bay I think. Not seen one for ages.

That's probably an adapter to mount R lenses on a M body, you won't be able to focus past 50cm if you want to mount an M lens on to your R:

I discovered last night that my favourite photographs were taken with an R5 and Agenieux 35-70 and 80-200 zoom lenses. I've never actually seen such items though.

Maybe I'll rethink my decision to buy Digital rather than Leica R!
