There's a product in the market namely Lensbabies and from what I read it's tells me that it's lets you be more creative with your photography.

Has anyone had any experience using/owning these lens?

Do a search on this forum for lensbaby as we have a few people here who do some great work particularly Marianne. It is a different technique and much like HDR some people love it and others hate it.

I have one, havent really used it, keep meaning to but never seem to get round to it, the bit i have used it I have liked it. Marianne is the best to speak to.

TangoCharlie has one - its a great yet very simple bit of kit. Some lovely results :)

did I hear my name???

I have several albums of my lensbaby work here clicky each of the pictures is an album....

I have a Lensbaby II but I wish I had a Lensbaby III !

I love love love the creativity of this lens, it suits me but I have had mixed reactions to my work with it

I got the Lensbaby 2. Was told by a magazine editor who has all 3 versions that the 2 model is the sharpest.

I got the lensbaby 2 and the macro attachments when I bought them.

Not used them much but are good fun and difficult to master!!!

I'd suggest that you get one and have a play, well worth it!

Carl.

perhaps I'll stick with my version II then...thats good news! I've got the close lenses for it too...I might just have to go and have another go with it, it'sbeen too long in it's bag! :)

different but very nice.

doubt i could have the imagination to do that.

Ive thought about buying one of these before.

Years ago someone on dev art said she would buy me one!! How rare.

Thinking of one of these too for my fashion work, I really like the idea of them.

They're pretty reasonable on Ebay for the version 1 which will give me an idea if i like the effect or not before i splash out on the other ones.

Im going to have to play Devil's advocate on this one, and say like hdr, I do not like the effect im afraid. It looks to gimmicky to me(Says he who loves IR photography).

like all things photographice, each to their own :) if we were all the same it would be quite a boring world to live in :)

I have some ideas i'd like to try it out on and if it works then brilliant i might just end up with a lensbaby II or 3G if not, it'll end up on ebay :D

Ive heard that using a Lensbaby can be quite tricky. Dont you need to use manual focus alot? Which i spose i do when using closeups anyway.

Woudl love to see the results.
Trouble is, i thought i had spent all i needed to on my camera, now another accessory comes along .... more ££'s

all you have to do to focus is pull or push the end of the lens (makes more sence when you hold one)

if you pull one side that side focuses..

its a bit like having a holga camera (anything that gets you taking photos is a good thing)

go on treat yourself for the price of a tripod head its good fun and easy to ues

As tanog charlie says it's really easy to use, is total manual focussing, and the images, due to the plastic lens on the original one, are a touch soft, but it's great fun. The 2.0 is sharper supposedly.

have a nosey at www.lensbabies.com theres videos on there for how to use them

Had a little play with my Lens baby today whislt shooting in Glasgow, first time i;ve actually been able to point it at someone other than my kids :D

Certainly not perfect but i'm reasonably happy with the results, one below for you to see.
