Yes
i have the canon 100m macro, im thinking of getting the
Sigma 24-70mm f2.8 EX DG Lens.
is it worth getting the sigma? what can it do that
the 100m can't?

Is the Canon your only lens? If so you must find it pretty restrictive for every day use.

Pretty obvious really; if you find you often can't get everything in shot with the Canon the Sigma will be of use. Otherwise, it won't :p

That said, the wide end will allow you to play with perspective effects a bit more.

Have you got different lenses now than are listed in your camera bag? Just had a look to try to think about some alternatives  Have you still got that Canon zoom?

have two lens,
28-90mm not so good canon
100mm 2.8 macro canon
so on the hunt for another lens

thank you for your help yes i think ill get the sigma

just picked one up ,looks feels good,
next on the list 70-200

Sigma 24-70mm f2.8 EX DG Lens works on 5d and or 1ds ???

as might want to move up to

Yup, the DG line are for full frame, DC for cropped.

thats good to know ,but some lens dont work on full frames ?

Yup, especially with wide angle zooms, if the lens is small and starts at 17mm or wider then it's for cropped sensor. There are telephotos like the Sigma 50-150mm which are also for cropped. They can be used on FF, but will produce a smaller image.

dont think ill go wider than Sigma 24-70mm f2.8 yet

It says it at the bottom under DG and DC.

"traditional 35mm SLRs" means full frame, and "smaller size of the image sensor" means cropped.
