Where would i get my nikon 300mm 2.8 serviced, obvious place would be nikon uk but im wondering if there is anywhere else that does such a service?

H Lehmans in Stoke have been great when it's come to doing repairs so I can only imagine they are equally god at servicing.

Nikon are obviously good but do tend to take a bit longer.

I used Fixation a lot but had some issues with a repair and haven't used them since. They did a good job on everything else mind.

I have used Fixation, in London. Great service, very knowledgeable, and IMHO, good prices.

I need to go to them soon to get my sensor cleaned... problem is the buggers are only open Monday to Friday and close quite early.

I Second that though, they are very good, good service the 3 times I have been - I love going to have a look at the gear :)

i bought lens with a dust spot behind lens so i thought why not get it serviced. will have a look at fixation and ones in norfolk.

has anyone used the Nikon Service/Repair service?

I've a 70-200mm f2.8 VI which I'd liked serviced, I've a feeling it's a bit soft.

I purchased this 2nd hand, would I have to produce proof of purchase, etc. to benefit from the 'free send' service? Or is this only available to registered, under warranty, new-bought products?

Has anyone had a similar lens serviced and know how much this costs?

thanks guys!

I've just had my 7D back from Lehmans and it's working like new. In fact, looking at the parts replaced on the job sheet it's nearer to a new one than a used one lol. It even looks like they replaced the outer body parts that were damaged when it was dropped even though they weren't listed on the job sheet.

It took a bit of time for it to be fixed but they've done an excellent job.
