Hello all, as a fairly new DSLR user, I have reaches a stage where I am considering purchasing a selection of lenses.

I currently use a Nikon D50 / Sigma 28~300 combination, and am happy with the results I am acheiving.

I use the camera solely for outdoor shots of nature and fast moving subject in all weather conditions.

Could anybody recommend other lenses suitable for the D50.

What's your budget and what focal length are you looking for?
 
That Sigma isn't the best lens on the planet, but in terms of focal length range it's got a lot of coverage from standard-ish to quite a long telephoto. You're missing the wide-angle end below 28mm.

Apart from filling the wide-angle gap, the only way forward is to raise the stakes in terms of quality - basically spend a few hundred quid on a replacement lens/lenses. You'll be on the slippery slope on no time ;)

Other options to look at might be a macro, or a low f/number prime, like the nifty-fifty 50mm f/1.8.

Have you got a decent flash gun? You should.
