Hi everyone

Can you use the AF-S lenses on nikon bodies that contain a motor ?? I currently have a D60, which requires the lenses to carry the motor in order to auto focus, but I'm trying to insure against the future when I'll no doubt upgrade the body to one which contains a motor.... is it wise buying lenses that suit my current body, or will buying them to suit the future body be worthwhile, while all the time learning to MF ??

AF-S lenses work on most bodies with motors. They certainly do on the D70 and D200 as well as the F80 (a film body - with the obvious vignetting if the AF-S lens is also DX). They don't AF on my F65 though (another film SLR).

AF-S lenses work on all Nikon DSLRs, so unless you're thinking of "upgrading" to a film body, you won't have any problems.

So I am right in thinking that the AF-S lenses contain the motor ?? Or have I got the wrong end of the stick ?
