Do prices of lenses sometimes go up just i brought one last year and now its over £100 more to buy

Pound drop by about 1/3 against the yen in less than 4 months....

i ordered a lens from jessops price when ordered was 489.99 it took 2 months to arrive, when it did the price was 649.99 i was shocked for sure.
