Lens pouches/bags

Anyone got any favoured lens protection solutions for when you're carrying a lens in a bag other than a photobag?... Not looking to protect against a direct nuclear strike - just to keep the dust off and prevent any dings whilst a lens is in (say) a regular daypack.

Ideally a range that has sizes to suit all from a lens that's 60mm diameter & 40mm long to one that's 100mm diameter and 270mm long.

Anyone looking in my bag will see that I'm not precious about "Nikon bag for Nikon lens" (I have an unholy mix of Canon & Nikon pouches suiting all needs apart from the recently acquired EF 100-400 & the camera itself had a Minolta strap until quite recently)

May not be exactly what your after , but regarding the 1-400 and camera body , this shoulder holster worked a treat for me . I use this along with a backpack , and to be honest it`s worked very well for me . It`s called the Digital Holster 50 V 2.0 . I would be interested in other individual lens pouches too , as I carry odd lenses in a backpack sometimes .

I have something similar to the above from amazon.
The largest sized one that I have won’t fit a 70-200 2.8 FYI.
