Just got a Hama lens pen of amazon, i just wanted to ask if anyone has one and if it works ok, i put a finger on my 10-20  but i dont want to ruin the coating on it

They work fine, I put a honking great thumb print on my Tamron 28-75 just this morning, and it "LensPenned' off no problem.

sweeeet. i was just changing lenses and suddenly... awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww :)

i still havent got one yet but will make the investment when i pass jessops next

I am in the camp of - microfibre cloth rather than lenspen, reasons being

1 - Cheap, £2.50 for a cloth
2 - Can fit anywhere being a cloth
3 - Washable - you can't wash a lenspen
4 - Bigger cloth area, last longer
5 - Can get it in any optician, £2.99 from Specsavers for a Pentax one or £2.30 for a Specsavers one

7 Day are almost certainly cheaper so I would wait until you next order from them!

I also use the SensorKlear. I use them as a once only sensor cleaner then relegate them to lens, filter and screen cleaning duties.

7Dayshop often do a 3 for 1 offer on LensPenses, usually less than a tenner shipped.

lens pens great use it all the time and a microfibre as well at times [but dont buy to cheap]

theres something on my 10-20 that wont come off now... :( i really need to get it checked out, it doesnt affect quality but i havnt looked at 100% crop

Breathe on the spot and try again with a lens pen. I find breathing + LensPen will get rid of stuff no problem.

When I clean a lens I just use the edge of a lens pen with very small strokes to avoid smearing. You should be able to get it minty fresh in about 30 seconds.

Its not worth getting a lens "checked out" for a front element mark, just don't look at it, and you'll forget its there!

Ah! The krafty lets put a cool namez on a 2p bit of cloth one?

Just get one from a local optician for 20p
