Good afternoon everyone,

I currently have the a7R with the Zeiss 24mm-70mm f4 and I'm struggling to decide whether I should go for the 16mm-35mm f4 or the 70mm-200mm f4, second hand they are about the same price.

I have also been considering the Voightlander 15mm Super Wide Heliar however this has a fixed hood so the use of filters is then prohibited.

I tend to shoot landscapes/seascapes so any of the 3 lenses would be useful.

Any thoughts?

Which end of the 24-70 do you predominately shoot at? If the wider end, maybe a 16-35 would suit. If the longer end, maybe the 70-200.
 
It's always the wider end so in that respect the 70-200 would be a silly investment.
 
The 16-35 is very good. It is quite large and heavy, but very crispy sharp. I think the Voigtlander would probably be very smeary in the corners if my previous experience with wide non-Sony lenses on the A7R is anything to go by. The only way you'll get properly good wide angle is with the Sony/Zeiss 16-35.

The reviews of the Voightlander are very positive and suggest that the corners are good even wide open.
 
Another option is the Zeiss Batis 18mm f/2.8.

I'd go with the lens designed for the system and the 16-35 is a staple lens in many landscapers bags along with the 24-70.

You can get the long lens later
 
I use the 16-35 f/4 on the a7RII and I have to say I bloody love it.
