LENS is spelt LENS!

Even though it is highly amusing, may I please put an end to this thread?

Firstly and foremost it is lens.

Secondly, there is a difference between spelling mistakes and type errors.

Thirdly, poor grammar leads to poor communication.

My opinion of course.

Agree with all but point #2

Both spelling mistakes and type errors are caused by slackness and some will accept it and others will not.

IMHO, OF COURSE!!:bonk:

That is very clever. I wonder, though, how much time was put in to finding it out.

How long did it take to type it ? Just out of curiosity did you try spell checking afterward ?

An oldie but a goodie.

What I'm curious of though, is why haven't spammers used this method to get past the filters?

What's also amazing about this..... it works in any language! I've tried it with my Finnish and German colleagues..... so they tell me! My knowledge of either language is pretty basic ;)

Depends what you mean. I have had junk emails where this method is used in the subject line, so they got through, for stuff like ...ehem...enlargement of ones male accessory....I always want to write back explaining that even if I had one I wouldn't be interested. {of course I dont]

Another trick of course is buying up domain names where they are a very popular domain spelt incorrectly... for instance goggle.com [instead of google] is some sort of spam site, and so on.

A lens (or lens) is an optical device with perfect or approximate axial symmetry which transmits and refracts light, concentrating or diverging the beam. A simple lens is a lens consisting of a single optical element. A compound lens is an array of simple lenses (elements) with a common axis; the use of multiple elements allows more optical aberrations to be corrected than is possible with a single element. Manufactured lenses are typically made of glass or transparent plastic. Elements which refract electromagnetic radiation outside the visual spectrum are also called lenses: for instance, a microwave lens can be made from paraffin wax.

Maybe people are getting the spelling wrong from things like this ... ?
