Does anyone know if a Sigma APO 70/210 f2.8 lens,used for many years on a film camera, can it be recalibrated or whatever they do, to be used on a digital body.? This has been a excellent lens, that needs a good inside clean so if it can be done now would be a good time to do it.
I have sent email to Sigma and wait a reply.

I used to have a Sigma Apo 135-400 that I used on a Canon EOS 1000F. When I bought a 350D Sigma rechipped the lens for £5. The good deal was because I was the original owner. Email them and ask the question.

Thanks for reply I have emailed Sigma waiting for reply you seem to have answered me I wanted to know if the lens could be rechipped I need it to be cleaned as well thought it would be good time to re chip at same time if it was possible.
 
I have one of the 70 - 210 APO lenses, contacted Sigma and they said the dont have the spares for them any more, apparently they need to change the chip, not reprogram it.

I didnt want to know that Dizidav oh well looks like I shall be keeping a film camera for a while.Such a pity its been a really good lens.
