Lens Hoods II

Trench, you haven't commented on whether you think a lens hood would of helped my in the picture I posted? scared of losing a months wages? lol

Sorry Harvey I thought I had. Was it a moderately wide lens (35mm?). Depending on the height of the sun, a hood may well have solved that.

I have to admit, I haven't seen a flare like that before.

He's a really lovely guy. Just looks a bit scary on occasion.
