When I'm out snapping runners, it often rains more than I'd like it to. My 35mm's lens hood is small and of no use when it's raining in the "wrong" direction. The hood on the 85mm is pretty good. Imagine my surprise when I looked through my collection to see if there was anything that would fit my Nikon 50mm. Picked up a hood from a super Takumar 85mm-210mm zoom. It screwed in perfectly. The glass is around 6-7 cm back from the edge of the hood. Must cause vignetting. NO! This'll be great for those rough, stormy days on the fells.
