I have been searching for a lens hood for a Canon Ultrasonic EF 75-300mm but keep finding different models that say they are compatable. What is it I need so I can order the correct one.

Glad your problem sorted pal. See if you can find the accessory on eBay before you go for shop prices, for things like that they cost a ton, I know the cover for my LCD screen for the back of my D80 cost me £8 from Jessops.
