Lens hood for Canon 18-55 IS?

Is it worth buying a Canon EW-60C hood to use on an 18-55 IS I just bought? Or is there an alternative that will do a better job? Ta in advance.

Your limited to that style as petal hoods aren't compatible with your lens, seems cheap enough and being Canon you know it will fit snuggly. I'd say just go for that one.
