See now you can catch up
TBH I'm very jealous of your new purchase ;) How come you've decided to go back to the D750?

Two things money and my mate asked me to take some photos. I was supposed to be keeping my funds for emergencies. But he's paying me so needed to get equipment.
Awiaitng shipment of the 85mm from back of beyond though. So I hope it arrives.

Preferred this option than going back to Sony then?

I had the a7r2 I can't afford the 3 and the 9 is well out of my reach. Their menu systems are so bad it's embarrassing.
I also found the buffer so bad on the a7r2. I couldn't take five photos! Lovely quality images so much better than the XT2.

To be fair, the D750 is hard to beat as an allrounder, especially when you consider that you can pick it up for £1100 grey. I didn't realise the A7R2 was £500 more tbh until I've just looked.

Not quite but still it's a great price

Yeah, I guess it depends on how risk averse you are. Shipping stuff to China fully insured is hugely expensive, then its wether they accept it as a manufacturer fault etc. if they don't its the cost of going there, plus cost of repair plus return postage (that'll be well over £100).

Yet again with menu bashing :D

It's a popular topic of complaint on the internet and I just don't get it. I suppose I'm in the minority as I couldn't give a flying about menus and how good or bad they are and it just doesn't register with me at all as I only use them to set the clock and format the card. Everything else is done by a button or a dial or occasionally via the custom menu thingy I have set up on all of my cameras.

Good luck with the new kit and its menu system.

If you've used, Canon, Nikon or Fuji you'd understand.

One thing I would say is that the changed Manu system on the A7RIII (and I assume the A9) is night and day better than the previous gen models (A7RII) with a massive amount of customisation, the MY Menu feature is excellent.

I actually found the newly designed menu system in the D850 to be a bit of a headache finding stuff.
