Hi guys, I just wondered if someone could give me some advise. last month I was going to buy a lens for my 550d instead I bought a canon 7d:) but I am now in the same boat lens wise. I am quite new to photography about 2yrs and I dont know a great deal. I need a lens for close up photography ie toy photography action man figures, and also portrate and full body pics. I wanted to know is there a lens good all rounder that would meet my needs. I dont want to spend a great deal but I do want a canon lens.

PS the lens I have is the kit lens 18-135 does anyone know what its worth second hand its only done about 40 pics:)

You can buy macro extension tubes so you can use your current lens for close up shots. Pay a little extra for auto models you can still use the lenses metering and auto focus. Kenko make them for about £100 or you can get cheap chinese ones on ebay for £40.
 
Hi Robert, thanks for the info mate but I think I would rather a new lens. Any Ideas?
