Lens for Sony NEX 5R

Hello,

as Sony are bring out new lens for their E mounts. I thought I will keep an eye out for any used lens in the future for my NEX 5R

My question is will the new FE carl zeiss or G Master lens work on my NEX 5R as I am not sure that the connections will match up ?

Has any one used newer Sony lens on the NEX5 or NEX range ! ?

Some new lens like the Sigma 30mm are at F1.4

My current lens are;
SONY e mount 55-210mm F4.5 - 6.3 OSS Lens
SONY e mount 18-55mm f3.5-5.6 OSS
SONY e mount 16mm

Yes, any FE (Sony Full Frame) lens will work on your E mount Nex5R. They will be the same focal length but as the sensor is 1.5x smaller ('crop'), the image will appear to more zoomed in as it's basically 'cropped' from the centre of the frame.

Personally, the 50/1.8 E mount lens is a great crop option that's not excessively heavy on the smaller body and focuses quickly.

I regularly use the FE 24-70mm f4, the FE 70-200mm f4., and the FE 90mm f2.8 macro on my Nex5N. All work extremely well.

Is the G Master Sony's version of what L is for Canon ! ?
