I have a sigma 18-50 2.8 and was debating to get the tamron 17-50 2.8 ( hence my wanted thread ) what i was wondering apart from the slight wider angle is it worth changing ???

have used the tamron for a few years. it is excellent for its value and its performance.

only got rid off it as moving to FX.

also cannot comment on the sigma or nikon variant as not used them.

I think the newer VC version of tamron isn't meant to be any good.
