Lens cleaner question - search option not working

As stated in the subject header, the search option isn't working on my computer for some reason, so apologies if this has been asked a million times before...

I need a lens cleaner, nowhere around my area has any sodding lens cleaner! I've tried all around the photographic shops for a good 20-25 mile radius and nowhere has it, ridiculous!

Anyway, i need a lens cleaner but am really worried what i put on my lens. I've got a 70-200mm F4L IS...i've tried cleaning with just a lens cloth, but all its done is made it a bit smeary, so i really need a cleaning solution, but since nowhere has them around here i'm gonna order online, but online there is a lot to choose from, whatss the differences? Any recommendations for a suitable cleaner? I ask that because of coatings and stuff, terrified to ruin the lens! lol

Hi, I use a lens pen to clean the glass as you don't need any liquid solutions, I found with liquid no matter how careful you are there always seems to be a smear left over, the body of the lens I wipe with a soft damp cloth then after about 30 mins rub in a very very small amount of WD40 sprayed onto a clean cloth not onto the lens.
Works well for me.

I use Wipe n Clear Lens Wipes from Costco..individual packs always carry some.. blow dust off smear free finish :thumbs:
