Lens choice

I want to start trying my hand at motorcycle racing photography and wondered what would be the best lens to look at getting.

I only have the 70-300 vr that has any sort of length and realise that with ff I will need a good bit more. What choices have I got without breaking the bank?
Wondered about the Sigma 50-500 or the 150-500 (would they be fast enough?)

Budget upto around £900.

Well, I just sold a Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 which was brilliant for motorsports, just depends on how far away your subjects are, I used it for rallying which was quite close.

I have just bought a Sigma 100-300mm F4, which I will use for motorsports again but also wildlife. I attach the Sigma 1.4x TC giving 420mm at f/5.6 which according to many reports gives better results than Sigma's 120-400mm f4-5.6.

I paid £590 inc shipping with 2 bags, uv filter and cpl second hand, and so far the lens performs great.

You could consider this?

70-300 should be fine at most tracks, baring Silverstone.
