Following from my recent thread I recently picked up a Canon 40D and a battery grip and I love it. Glad I went for the 40D rather than the 4XD series. Anyway, I picked up a Canon 50mm 1.8 and I am getting to grips with it. I also picked up a 18-55mm IS but now that my budget has increased, I wanted to pick up a slightly better 'all-rounder' lens. Is there anything you can recommend with a budget of £250. I was thinking of the 17-50mm Tamron but would that mean that the 50mm would be pointless?
Also, as I am new to photography, are there any tutorials/books you can recommend so I can get the most out of what I have?
Oh and while I am here, can you recommend any extension macro tubes?
