Hi all

Was wondering if anyone can help me regarding some lens'

I am about to buy my first dslr, a canon d60

With this I was going to get the tamron 17-50 f2.8, but am not Aure whether to go for the vibration compensation version or not.

Any advice would be appreciated

Thanks

Chris

Hi I've got the non vc version sharp as a tack Sony version though, from what I've read the non vc version gets better reivews. What would it be used for ? if it's landscapes with a tripod would the vc be useful anyway

I take it you mean the 60D? The canon d60 is years old and a very different beast!

General concencus will be the non VC is sharper but the VC version isn't exactly a disaster - it depends if you plan on handholding at slow shutter speeds - if not go for the non VC

Indeed I meant the 60d, I always do that.

Thanks for the advice, looks like non vc is winning at the mo.
