My camera is mainly used for aviation photography....

presently looking to purchase one of the following...

Sigma 50-500mm DG HSM

or

Sigma 150-500mm DG APO HSM OS RF

Presently opting for the latter as it has more features...
but the first one has a better range

any advice would be appreciated

kind regards

Ben

I've got the Sigma 150-500 OS that's going on my 5D3 and I'll borrow the wifes Sigma 120-400 OS for my 60D when I go to the Waddington airshow. I borrowed a Canon 100-400 L from a guy at last years show and got some great shots so hopefully I should get some more this year. Both the Sigma's are really good wide open at the long end as well, which is a bonus. I live only a couple of miles from Waddington so I get plenty of practice beforehand. The 50-500 OS is supposed to be a tad sharper than the 150-500 but at almost twice the price, the 150-500 OS is a damn good substitute.
