Lens advice for Canon 60d

Hi guys, just wanted some advice before buying a Canon 60d.

I'm going to get the Tokina 11-16mm f2.8 and Sigma 30mm f1.4 lenses. However because I'll be shooting films mostly (and after reading Philip Bloom's blog posts) I'm thinking of buying the Nikon versions of these lenses so that I can manually control the aperture, as well having the option of using the lenses on a gh2.

Is this a good idea?

Also what do you guys think of the Fotodiox Pro adapter for Nikon to Canon?
 
I've got a 60D but I've not got any of the lenses you mention. However, if you're going to be shooting mostly films I'd suggest you have a look at the new 650D. With the new STM lenses that are available for the 650D for constant AF during zooming I think it'll be a dream machine for films. I got a 650D for the wife recently and it's a very capable stills camera, but it's been designed with a new sensor to make the most of videos. The 60D is a damn good camera though if you're set on one.
 
i've got the 30mm f1.4 sigma on my 60d and absolutely love the combination

as for stills, I've had no issues or complaints about it. You get a lot for your money with that lens.

as for the body, had mine a few months now, and again, no complaints!
 
Thanks for the replies.

I've realised that there's no manual aperture control on these lenses. So I'm thinking of going with canon mounts for both.
