Length in cm of the 24-105?

Before I buy, just want to know whether this lens will fit in my bag, or whether I need to buy a new bag too!!

Can someone measure the total length of their 24-105 and let me know please?

Here it says Size 83.5x107mm = 8.35cm x10.7cm is that what you mean

Be careful. The manufacturer's quoted measurements aren't very helpful for your needs.

The length measurement doesn't include the rear cap, front cap, or filter if you use a filter. The diameter measurement doesn't include the hood.

As it happens I'm in the process of measuring all my lenses accurately so that I know what size cases they'll fit in. Unfortunately I haven't done the 24-105L yet. All my copies of it are out at the moment but I'll get my hands on one tomorrow (Monday) and will be measuring it ... I'll let you know.
