Lencarta.

What do you think of it?

Always good to hear of good service. A review would be nice if you have time.

Well I've not used it in anger yet but first thoughts are that it has excellent build quality with the thickness of the material and strength of the rods. I'm sure putting it up and taking it down will get easier as I get familiar with it and everything beds in.
With the diffusers and honeycomb it's going to be really versatile. I went for the rather enormous 120cm version because, obviously, bigger is always better.
Once collapsed it actually goes back into the holdall with ease, which has the same build quality as the product.
I'll certainly be considering getting rid of my standard beauty dish and replacing it with one of the 60cm or 80cm versions, if only for ease of storage.
Highly recommended. :)

Thank you for the above, how easy is it to put up and take down.

Yes, opposites is easier/better, and as Richard (HoppyUK) pointed out in another thread, the addition of a tiny smear of oil on each fitting, where the male goes into the female, makes it much easier
That's it. Agree with Phil - good product, fairly priced in a range of useful sizes with interchangeable mounts. I've been using the 80cm silver version - well made and robust with 16 solid metal rods, easy to put up/down,* very versatile with the double-diffuser options and detachable deflector, plus grid. Decent bag too (y)

*I put the tiniest smear of oil on the rod locks, makes them pop in and out nicely.

How long does it roughly take to put up and foldaway after use ?

Sorry to hijack the thread. I've bought a few products from Lencarta and am very pleased. Earlier this year I bought a 95cm folding Octabox. I've just been looking for a Honeycomb Grid to fit but can only find 90cm! Am I missing something or is there no 95cm available? Thanks for any help.

That's the one you need, we re-named it because it's a bit less than 95cm, and we prefer to understate rather than overstate.

Had 2 strip boxes delivered today, really pleased with them, quality material, only mistake I made was only getting one honeycomb which have now sold out, never mind have to wait till they are back in, I really like the profold modifiers just so easy to put up and down, no faffing about keep assembling, as I haven't got the room to keep them assembled, another thumbs up for Lencarta :)

I'm glad you like them, the new version is even better.
I'm not sure that the honeycombs are in fact out of stock, I will do a physical check tomorrow when I get to work, my suspicion is that the new website is showing the wrong quantity.

Ok thanks Garry :)

Re Their putupanddownability, unless you have arms like a heavyweight boxer you can leave the difusers in place and operate them through the speed ring. :-)

I suppose it's a bit of a knack like everything else, but I find them very easy - I've never tried to operate them via the speedring, all that I do is to un-velcro* enough of the outer diffuser to get my hand in from the front, to operate the mechanism. As it folds, just push the diffusers back so that the softbox closes on them, this keeps them clean.

*Hey, I've just invented a new word:)
