Not a big problem, but the diabetes that I've had very much under control for the last few years has now taken control of me:'(. My doctor tried to kill me by neglect but happily she failed this time:bonk:
All that this means is that I will need to take things easy for a while and do as little as possible, and because of this I'm cutting down where I can and so won't be scheduling any more lighting workshops until I'm feeling fighting fit again. I will also be limiting my commercial work and won't be able to do any location photography for a while, I'll just do the lazy studio stuff:)

There's a lighting workshop this Sunday, with space for a couple more people, it will go ahead as planned but I may have to shout at people sitting down instead of standing up for some of the time:)

And there's another one on the 29th July, I expect to be able to shout standing up on that one...

After that, we'll just have to wait and see how long it takes to get my medication stable.

Garry If I came up by the train, is your base near the station?
About 2.5 miles, there's a bus that passes the door, or £6 I think by taxi.

Hope you can get everything under control again Garry. Darned bodies - never do what you want them to eh?

Hi Garry

The Lencarta website will not allow me to log in using my existing login details to retrieve my previous order number to add to the lighting workshop for the discount.
The ability to log in seems to be one of the problems caused by the migration to the new server - but it doesn't affect this, because the discount takes the form of a manual partial refund that I will put through.

Please just place the order, the website problems may or may not let you pay for it, then just ring me if it doesn't let you pay.

I managed to login to my account okay, although the site appears to be very slow overall. I was also able to view my previous orders without any trouble. However, I noticed while navigating that it said "waiting for www.testserver.org.uk..." at the bottom of the browser, which I thought was a bit odd....

The course for this Sunday is now full.

The website problems are driving me and everyone else round the twist, but we're slowly getting there...

Hi,

I have only just seen this post after attending today's workshop, which I found to be very useful.

Garry has answered a lot of my questions on this forum and was good to meet him in person and for him to educate us. I wasn't aware of his illness until today but this had not implication on today's course.

Can defo recommend the workshop to anyone considering it.

Thanks Garry and hope your medication is sorted soon

Good to hear. I'm attending the same one at the end of July. Did you get time to shoot the model yourself as well?

I was pleasantly surprised by how well I felt, I expected to barely cope but checking my blood glucose levels every 2 hours kept me in control of the situation.

[/B] The victims attendees do all the photography and I also 'encourage' them to arrange and change the lighting too. There's a big danger that if I actually pick up a camera myself, people will realise that I'm a fraud:)

A talented and educated fraud i would say.

We were all encouraged to take photos, for me i was happy to sit back and observe as i learn better this way, but there is plenty of opportunity to get some shots good shots with the model, Cassie.

Take it one step at a time Garry. Once the balance has been obtained you should be ready for the next round, but these things take time just as good lighting does.

All the best

Malcolm
