Hi All,

This forum is fantastic, I'm lucky to have found it, in particular it led me to Garry and the Lencarta product range.

I purchased a lighting kit from Lencarta with the guidance of Garry and I must say I am hugely impressed by the product and his service.

I run a retail business and it's not often you come across service like I have received.

For what it's worth anyone looking to buy equipment and wanting better service than the typical 'Currys' experience check out Lencarta

I bought the Flash Kit and with a bit of advice from Gary managed to produce the great results in a couple of days

Thanks for the kudos, people are often quick to criticise on forums but praise is less common...

Will sent me the same pictures for comment. I had nothing to say about the one of the jacket because I don't think I could have done any better myself.
I have made a couple of suggestions for improvement to the lighting on the helmet, it isn't any easy subject but I'm sure that once he has had time to put my suggestions to the test he'll be turning out good shots of helmets too.

So there you go - a budget lighting kit and someone determined to get it right, and these are the results that can be had within a couple of days...

I will persevere with the helmet shot. I added a picture showing the equipment in situ. The background is simply a white wall at one end of the lower ground floor of my store. I am using a Nikon D40.

Only thing I'd suggest is spread the legs on these stands! Makes them more stable! Nice set up.
 
The very same kit arrived for me today. Superb service from Garry. Good comms and fast delivery.
The quality certainly seems good for what I paid. I've only just put it all together tonight after finishing work.
I need a wider room to be able to accomodate those soft boxes...
Looking forward to learning how to use it all.

ok i was humming and haring about getting the lenscarta kit listening to what you have to say and how happy you have been with the service i think i am going that way using them.

How long did it take for you lights to come from ordering?

Thanks! I got mine next working day delivery. At first I was a bit confused because there are no instructions, but then realised there are videos and downloadable PDFs on the Lencarta site.

It took me about 1.5 hours to assemble everything and about 10 hours of playing about, tweaking, shooting etc.. to get to where I am now.
 
I can't wait to unwrap my 2 head kit xmas morning :D

Again, I had great service from Gary and I was very impressed with the equipment. I was also confused about the lack of instructions in the boxes but Gary pointed me towards the website and their videos etc :)

Gary, might be worth popping a compliments slip into the boxes with a note saying to check the site out for the vids/pdfs. Would help all us noobs :p

Fair comment about the instructions. The real answer is to have printed instructions for all products, which is very much in hand - but it takes time, especially when new products are being introduced all the time.

Unfortunately putting compliments slips into the boxes isn't as easy as it sounds. Very large Companies have their own warehouses and so have total control, tiny businesses often don't have a warehouse at all and send out the goods from a garage or something, Lencarta (like most) is somewhere in the middle and have to use a separate warehouse to send the goods out for them, and although it's theoretically possible to include compliments slips pointing people towards the website instructions/videos I think it would be complicated, as printed instructions are already included for many items.
 
Mine arrived next day. Garry sent me an email to say it was on its way. Arrived at 8.00am! Took about 20 mins to assemble everything.
Very impressed with the service Garry offers. Well done mate.

I've used Lencarta several times - great products and service. Although my wife has purchased something from Lencarta for Crimbo for me (won't tell me what it is) and she says it's out of stock :'(
