Lencarta grids - do I need to use Lencarta reflectors?

At £36 the Lencarta 65 degree reflector (25cm) seems a tad expensive.

I've got some Lencarta grids, are there any cheaper reflectors out there that will do the same job?

Cheers.

Dav

Well, you may think it's expensive but the Bowens version is £56.98 including postage from WH - and that's for a much smaller model...

But do you really need a 65 deg reflector anyway? It has a very high level of efficiency (about twice the efficiency of the Lencarta standard reflector) but if you can live with the efficiency and angle of the standard reflector you'll save a lot of money, and the honeycombs for it are cheap too.

I'm probably confused here, but the grids I have are 25cms in diameter. I can't show you the order number as your site says "Our Shop is currently down for maintenance. Please check back again soon.".

I was under the impression that the 65 degree reflector you sell was my only choice for these grids.

As I said, I've probably got myself in a muddle.

Thanks,

Dav

The Lencarta website isn't down for maintenance, it's just very slow at times. There's a good reason for that at the moment because apparently there's a DOS attack on another site on a related server, which has affected all web sites hosted by the same provider. Once the website has moved to the new super dedicated server (hopefully this week) then all these problems will be history.

Back to the question - if you've bought the honeycombs for the 65 degree reflector then yes, you'll need the reflector that goes with them.

Yes, should fit the Interfit 7" reflector

There's an excellent calumet in Bristol.

They know their apples.
