Lencarta Folding Octabox options

Hi all,

I am asking about what the options are for a Folding octabox around the 120cm size.

I bought a Lencarta box this week and it came and i opened it up and thought WOW what a great piece of kit.

BUT then i moved the box onto my light and the box sprung shut !!!!! OK maybe just a faulty spring in shaft i thought.

I had another box come this morning and i put the box up and this one didn't stay open for more than 2 minutes before it sprung closed.

It seems the tension on the umbrella spring loaded part is under too much pressure and lets go.

So what are my options as i will send these back to lencarta (shame as there gear is normally faultless) for a refund as i have a shoot on Saturday and cant risk this happening on a paid shoot.

update !!!!

One box is working and garry from Lencarta has arranged pickup of the second box.

By the way, what a lovely Octabox for the price.
 
Glad to hear that. Based on 10 mins with my new folding strip box I want a folding octa ;) Especially now they have 150s
 
ill be trying it out tonight with models and fire works etc.

It has a great soft light output, and i have metered the front @ 1/8 with the safari and get f20 in the center and f18-19 on the edges so a great output across the whole box.

Plus its huge !!!
