Hi Gary,

No offence meant. I was wondering because if I buy something that needs after sales service or if there is a problem I like to be sure (or as sure as I can be)that I can get it resolved.

Thanks for your response

Chris :)

No offence taken. It's sensible to be cautious.
I do find some of the comments in this thread a bit strange though, bearing in mind that Lencarta has been trading on Ebay for 10 years http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/lencarta_direct/

Hmm can sympathise with this. I had to wait in for a couple days for a Lencarta delivery that kept failing to turn up. Then the triggers with my kit were knackered and even after three requests (and three promises) for new ones they never turned up. Gave up in the end so never got the triggers!

I do find some of the comments in this thread a bit strange though

Such as the one made by "Thebionicdan" above, nothing strange about it Garry, like myself the person got bad service and wasn't happy, or do you just not understand the concept of bad service

there has been a delay in manually creating invoices because I hadn't been supplied with the software at that time, and there is now a backlog and trade customers (who NEED VAT invoices) are getting priority. However, yours will be sent within a couple of days.

Eventually i received an invoice from Blue Dimensions today, only problem is it's dated 27th April 2009 asking me to make payment of £483.94, not sure why that is because my purchase was made on the 6th July 2009 and paid by CC immediately, and i've never purchased anything from you beforehand, would it be at all possible to get a proper receipt from Lencarta dated properly and stated that payment has been made, or if not perhaps you could provide the number of the office you mentioned that just deals with paperwork etc, and i can call them myself and ask them to deal with it, that's of course if there is actually anyone there, Thanks.

I'm extremely sorry that my mistake with the date is such a big problem for you.

The reason the invoice sets out the payment terms is that it's an invoice, and it's a legal requirement to set out the payment terms on an invoice, that's why every invoice contains those words or something similar, regardless of whether or not it has already been paid for. I'm sorry that you don't seem to know that.

I am going to PM you the phone number of Harry, who owns the Company. He is extremely courteous and seems to have unlimited patience, so he is probably the best person to talk to you.

Normally an invoice just says how much the goods are sold for. Likewise a credit note tells you that you are owed money.

Both these, along with their corresponding payments and refunds are shown on a statement.

I work for a factoring company, if you dont include payment terms how does the debtor know when they are supposed to pay?

A properly presented invoice should have payment terms!!!!

Well it's obviously a bigger problem for you, as your the one who keeps getting it wrong, firstly an invoice dated April when i bought in July knocks 2 months off the warranty (not that i hold out much hope for that now anyway)

Secondly, you sent me an invoice not a receipt, they are 2 different things, for Christs sake do you need everything explaining to you, your supposed to be a running a business, you sent me an invoice for payment, I HAVE ALREADY PAID AM I MAKING MYSELF CLEAR, :bang: all that i asked for was a receipt, you know the type of thing you get when you go to jessops, warehouse express, or even Asda for your food, one of those slips of paper that Tell's you what you bought, when you bought it and how much it cost, just keep it in mind for future reference if and when you sell some more Lencarta equipment !!!!

TG asked for his proof of purchase on the 6th.

Large companies rarely give the users of their products the benefit of the doubt over warranty issues. Small companies with loyal customers do, but they gain those customers from their overall performance and reputation, which they should seek to uphold rather than fritter away through silly errors.

Mob mentality is alive and kicking I see.

You seem to be determined to build this molehill into an Everest, but if it will keep you happy I'll issue another invoice with the correct date.

But just to correct your error, you asked for an invoice, not for a receipt for your payment, and that's what you got. Your proof of payment has always existed, it's on your card statement. And you didn't ask for the invoice at the time of purchase - if you had, I could have just pressed 'print' - and if you'd bought it through the website you could have pressed 'print' yourself. You quote Tescos - try going back to Tescos after you've left the shop and ask them for a receipt!

If you don't trust me, get in touch with the boss - I've given you his phone number. If you don't trust the Company, don't deal with it again.

This thread is turning into nothing more than a mud slinging match.

Both sides views have been aired and points noted.

Is it not time to now put this to rest or take it further privately?

:agree:

It's clear neither side are going to agree, we all know what's happened and we can all learn from it, nothing more than mud slinging to be gained from this thread:shake:

I'm glad people who receive bad service or goods, take their time to post what has happened to them, especially in today current financial climate (well done TG) as any purchase needs to be considered carefully.

Having read the comments by the OP and Garry Edwards, i think Garry has handled his side of this very poorly especially his comments to the OP in reply to some questions. If thats the sort of customer service I could look forward too as a customer of the company he represents I would be looking else where to spend my hard earned money.

Mob mentality is alive and kicking I see.

Comments like that don't help, read the the title of the sub forum, it's basically feedback which i've given based on my experience with Lencarta, unfortunately the supplier doesn't like what he hears, not a lot i can do about that is their !

This thread is turning into nothing more than a mud slinging match

It wasn't intended like that in the original post, it was bad feedback that was meant to be given, but unfortunately the supplier doesn't want to take responsibility, and just wants to keep banging on about what great customer service he thinks they give, fair enough nothing i can do about that, but people can make their own mind's up wether it's good or bad.

Thank you for seeing it as it was meant, and should be, as other's who have left feedback on here in the past has helped me tremendously with other companies, and saved me a few headache's.

Molehill to you maybe, but then your not the paying customer are you, and yes i look forward to receiving a proper dated receipt

Read the post again, your just not paying attention are you ! i asked for receipt/invoice/proof of purchase, for Christs sake do i really have to ask for a receipt at the point of purchase it's fairly standard practice, your not a bloody market stall are you, and no i wouldn't expect to go back to Tescos and ask them for a receipt because they issue them there and then when you have paid, not a month later !!!

If you don't trust the Company, don't deal with it again.

I think we can agree i'm fairly safe on that one !

Pointless arguing with those who think they are always right.

FFS guys. Surely this has run it's course and is serving no useful purpose any longer other than to encourage people to get on the bandwagon.

Don't you think it's about time a mod locked it and Garry and TG concluded it via PM.

Personally I think it's descending into farce with all the to-ing and fro-ing between them and it's no longer interesting, informative or educational - end of!

once again, lots of posts in the thread but no-one has reported it. Come on please guys, common sense is required a lot of the time, clearly Garry and TG are not going to get along well, they need to talk to each other in private and not through the forums. Both sides have had fair right to reply in this thread, and now its closing.

thanks
