I wasn't trying to convince you, I was just saying how I found it. It was bigger in form with the kit lens than my 6d with 24-105. I except the body on its own is relative to the larger DSLRs (though ergonomically it's terrible) but as a native system its size is way too big.Jim, I really don't see why this is such an issue... The Leica is the size of a 6D, hardly massive... and no amount of "it just is..." will convince me otherwise![]()
Yes I do and its a fantastic systemIt should, perhaps, be pointed out that the OP also uses a Nikon system.
Well, I just bought one along with a new Noctilux 0.95. I have a buddy that uses this combo for everything and when I tried it it was enough to pull the trigger
Pictures to follow
Good news............Leica shares just jumped 5%I
The OP would be far better off with a Sony RX1R for he best quality small walkabout. Or a Sony A7r2. That's my point in a nutshell. But, no doubt he has his heart set on the SL.
I'll shut up now. Obviously having held it I'm still not qualified to offer an opinion on its size and ergonomics (and if I truly disliked Leica I wouldn't have attended their exhibition!).
DanI look forward to it, I'd quite like the noctilux for my SL, just the 90-280mm was more practical for my needs right now. I will have to wait until next year.
Dan how do you like the long zoom...............are you using it for wildlife??I look forward to it, I'd quite like the noctilux for my SL, just the 90-280mm was more practical for my needs right now. I will have to wait until next year.

That's weird it looked slightly soft at normal viewing size, but at 1:1 the detail is incredible. I've had that issue myself with images exported from LR in the past, looked slightly soft until I started to zoom in. I contacted adobe about it and they told me it's something to do with the way sharpening is applied and files sizes or something, tbh they lost menice sharpness example from the 90-280mm

I do wonder if folk genuinely can't see the difference, or if they just have to justify their gear? Either way, as long as folk are happy with their own results that's all that mattersIt's not really any different from fuji... just ask em![]()
