Leica M3 Black on eBay

That doesn't seem too bad compared to what I thought it would be. It's strange but that's collecting things by rich people for you
 
Agreed....if a collectioner wants something badly enough, he/she will pay whatever it takes to possess it!
 
It just seems bonkers to me. it's not even in such good condition...
 
It's surprisingly high for the condition - although "the list" of black M3s is a holy grail list for Leica collectors really. I'll stick with my significantly cheaper but often used film cameras :thumbs:
 
That price guide seems remarkably low since the m9 price explosion of everything leica. I'd like to see the same but for recent sales, I suspect it places the bands much higher

Some of that data is for sales within the last 7 months, I'm not sure they'll come up any more regular than that. The last two sales were in the £14-20k range....
 
An ebay item described as 'rare' that genuinely is rare is possibly as rare as a Black M3 :lol:
