Does anyone else use their right hand on the shutter button, but look through the viewfinder with their left eye like me?
I know its a bit strange but I kind of find my bright, light coloured right thumb offputting out of the corner of my eye if I use my right one! :thinking:
 
I must be strange too as I've always used my camera like that :bonk: . I never really thought it was too different to everyone else until you mentioned it, as using my right eye and right hand feels too weird.
 
Oh good!!! I feel like I can hold it a lot more stable like this for some reason too.
 
I can't close my left eye without closing my right eye. :eek:

So I'm forced to use my left eye on the viewfinder. :shrug:

right hand, right eye. :thinking: well i think thats what i do, but now when i pick up camera i arent sure as i am thinking about it.
 
Well, I'm damn glad I started this thread, as I had a feeling that I was about the only one!! :D

Same here. Started using a camera before I wore contact lenses so got into the habit of using the "good" eye.

Well, if ever there was a lame excuse to play with a D200, that's gotta be it!

Right hand, right eye. Most people have a 'stronger' eye anyway...
 
well i'm not weird so it's right hand and right eye

I also find my right eye has a colour difference in its view, than the left. The left has richer colours and with the right things looks a bit more washed out.

Yep, definitely, I just tried and almost poked by eye out with my thumb
 
Right hand, Right Eye.

I've never tried it with my left eye (I dont recall). Might give it a whirl, I'm always up for trying new things :bonk: :D

Technically my right eye is my weaker eye (things are more blurry at a distance with it)....strange huh?
 
Hmmm, anybody do left hand, right eye...... just thinking there must at least ONE controversial, minimalist, outspoken, contortionist out there! ;)

Oh, and if there is, can we have a shot of yourself in a mirror..... :lol:
 
I'm a right/right. :)

We do have a member with only one arm - his left, who somehow still manages to take pics with his Canon A1. :notworthy:
 
I would reckon its about 70-30 in favour of right right. So, although in a minority, I wouldnt say I was quite as odd as I thought!! ;)
 
Just thrown my Camera to my mum and she is a right-left... my sister is coming over later today and she is a cack-hander so i will get her to take a snap... Im hoping shes a Left Right, as that would probably involve holding the camera upside down... :S
