Yes
Hi I`ve being wondering if shooting with a different eye ( at the moment i`m a right eye shooter ).

I`ve seen a few discussions about the left eye being `intune` with the right side of the brain which is used for `creativity` etc.

Anybody tried switching and what results did you get ?

i use my left eye all the time ... i suppose its cos im also left handed :~)

actually tried using my right eye when out earlier today ..felt wrong ... but looking back at the pics i took doing it they are no different to the left just felt awkward doing it

I use my left eye as I am left eye dominant. This isn't a big deal for photography but a massive pain when using a rifle scope or a bow where I have to lean my head right over.

I am right handed so I think I should be right eye dominant, but I am not. I also ride snow boards goofy so at least it's consistantly weird.

Hey Karl. I use left eye, simply because sight in my right eye is really bad. Makes my life easier when I can physically see what I'm shooting :) No other reason.

Right eye right handed. Have never tried shooting left eyed, will have to give it a go.

Left handed and use my left eye. Have never thought about trying the other eye.

Left eye, right handed, do do otherwise feels strange. But I shoot a gun (admittedly not that often, usually at a fair) right eyed.

Left eye, as my right eye just gives a blurry image, and I'm not ready to start wearing a monocle just yet...

Always the right eye (I'm right handed too). When I'm shooting BIFs I still use the right eye but shoot with both eyes open, the left is tracking the bird to help get it in the frame until focus locks on.

I'm right handed but left eyed. How weird! I'd never thought about it before

Left eye, right handed. It doesn't feel right at all using my right eye, not too sure why. In fact I struggle when trying it the opposite way around, my left eye doesn't want to stay shut. :D

Left eye, because it feels completely unnatural the other way.

I can change the auto focus points with my nose too.

Its like stealth mode, …oh I bet them cute small nosed people are so jealous...

Haha! Brilliant! My nose is such a size, it hurts being pressed against the back of the camera all the time! Maybe now I have an advantage... I wonder if I can do that

Left handed and left eye for me....

I'm right handed and shoot with my right eye but (if shooting birds) often open my left so I sort of have a full view as well as a framed view.

left eye , right handed but left eye is strongest

I'm left-handed, left-footed and left-eyed. Keeps things simple. Especially when I used to do archery, so I avoided the problems that 'maninasuitcase' has.

Both, but prefer my left eye in general. I tend to use my right eye when I need access to exposure lock button for whatever reason. I always poke my thumb in my right eye if I try using that button when shooting with left.

Right handed by the way.

Had to check first....right eye, mainly right handed (I change to left handed for some sports)

Set your AF point selection to ‘wrap’ around ...makes it easier to rotate to the points you want. :D

Ah me too ...Its just a bit close and small, their Just isn’t enough room for my eye and a thumb.

I use my right eye as I'd never know if anything is in focus with my left eye as everything I see out of it is blurry!

Right eye, right handed, at race meetings I try to keep my left eye open to keep on top of what else may happening around the main event.

Right eye and right handed.

I do occasionally use my left eye but feel like my body doesn't quite function properly when using it.

I'm left eye dominant and write and shoot left handed but use a camera right handed and use my right eye. I also play guitar and trumpet right handed...

I might give my left eye a go just to see if it makes a difference :)

Right eye, left handed, massive nose, but you've heard what they say right?
Or is that feet?

I'm left handed (not that you get left handed cameras !) and I use my left eye.

I recall that some use their right eye to allow the left to see past the camer body so you can swop your veiw between the scene and view finder easily.

I had wondered about trying to use my right eye but it is so natural to use the left that retraining would be hard work.

looks like there's quite a few left handed people involved in photography. Be interesting to know if it's a higher % than other activities?

i'm left handed, right eyed. Play golf, snooker, tennis, cricket, football all with my left... just use the right hand for one other pastime :naughty:
