I took my Fuji X10 to the park this morning, got a few photos around the park. But I missed two road incidents due to distance, nobody seemed to be hurt. There was lots of arms and fist waving, and possibly some good facial expressions. There was a park run on, and people parked everywhere blocking motorists views of emerging from side roads, probably why there were two separate crashes. I left the DSLR with 35mm prime at home, but that would have not been any good for the job. I also left the poop IQ compact super zoom at home, it would have been a poor image, but at least I would have gotten the photos :)

The wrong camera! I have enough trouble deciding which lenses to take out with me. If I had a number of cameras that would be even more ways in which I could end up with the wrong equipment.

In the 'sixties, the press photographers I worked alongside seldom had anything more than a Rollei TLR with a fixed lens and, sometimes, a screw mount Leica with a 135mm lens. They still got the pictures that told the story.

I was behind the park railings and there was a run on, so could not get any closer. The Fuji X10 is 112mm max focal length, the action was just beyond that range. In this instance it was just not possible to use my feet to zoom :)

The press photographers you worked with, were obviously better photographers than me ;)
