I'm thinking of getting some ND filters to complement my existing ND Grad.

There seem to be a few types on various sites such as Warehouse Express, varying in price from £20 to above £50.

I have the Lee filter holder, which should I get?

I can't tell you which to get as I've only got experience of a limited range, I use Hi-Tech ND. I'm very happy with them, I've stacked three at once with no colour casts visible, seem good quality and at a mid range price.

I guess it all comes down to how much you want to spend, no limit; probbaly Lee, linited; go for Hi Tech, and Tight; Cokin?

Lee filters are exceptionally good quality so I'd go with those if you can pay the £££s. Avoid Cokin - everything goes magenta with them in.

I use the Hightech Grads.

I think for Lee you are paying an awful lot for some see-through plastic....

I respectfully disagree with Puddleduck. Their filters are excellent quality and you get what you pay for.

In answer to the OP's question, I'd look at getting a set. I would imagine a 'hard' set would be best owing to the size of the sensor. I recommend giving Robert White's a call or even Lee Filters themselves as they should be able to give you advice on the which will suit you best.

With the sets, you get three densities: 0.3, 0.6 and 0.9, which equate to 1, 2 and three stops respectively. I tend to find that of the three, the 0.6 gets the most use, so if you wanted to buy a single filter, I would suggest this may be the one to go for.

Hope that helps

Cheers
