Lee Filter Stock Problems?

Hi,

As per title really.

It would seem a number of sites are showing out of stock and one site had a warning message dated Jan 2010 about supply delays from Lee.

Anyone know anything about this?

I know I should ask Lee but also wanted to hear the views of non-biased individuals.

They had a problem with one of their manufacturing machines at the end of last year. I'm guessing there is still a backlog. I only received the remainder of my grads last week (ordered early December!).
I ordered mine from Morco.

PS. What is Morco service like? They do seem to be cheaper (overall with some up and some down) on Warehouseexpress.

I can't complain - the delays were out of their hands. The lady I spoke to was polite and helpful. The filters arrived well packed. That's all I can say - I would use them again.
Call them to see if they have anything in stock.

Speedgraphic is another supplier of Lee. They are fast at supplying anything they have in stock.

Ordered some filters from Morco in mid january and.... still waiting.

Apparently the oven at Lee broke down and they had to scrap off 30 or so grad filters. I've been reassured that my filters are imminent but... Lee really should do something about their lead times. Sites holding buffer stock somehow doesn't seem to work.

Just got a foundation kit and 0.6 soft ND grad from Dale Photographic. Warehouse Express were next to (actually, they were) useless in that they couldn't give me any information on when the filters would come into stock. Dale were really helpful.
 
Warehouse Express have been out of stock of most Lee stuff for several months..

Studio Kit Direct and Robert White are other retailers that may have some in stock, as do Calumet I believe. I purchased mine from Studio Kit Direct a few months ago...
