I know my back garden isn't the most interesting of subjects........

Just need to know if I'm making any obvious mistakes??:thinking:

Original JPEG (processed in camera only):

HDR from 3 JPEGs (-2, 0, +2) in Photomatix:

I'm thinking my back garden isn't contrasty enough for HDR? Might have to find something else:thinking:

Try converting the same image to B/W first, you can then push the limit of the contrast.

I spent ages looking at the first picture trying to tell if it was a HDR then I realised the second picture was there. The only fault I can see in the HDR is that is seems very over saturated but I think you are right, your back garden, lovely as it is, isn't contrasty enough to warrant try a HDR on it.

Don't know why I bothered??!!

Now I'm looking at them on the thread I can spot a couple of obvious errors like the lack of contrast and the over saturation.

Will try again shortly and start another thread............

Thanks for the comments guys:thumbs:

I agree it looks way over saturated rather than a HDR . There's not really any look of HDR at all from what i can see . Maybe try it again and see what results you get . I remember doing HDR for the first time and it never really goes that well but after a bit of practise and also seeing other good HDR you definately improve .:thumbs:

I thought I'd give it a run through HDR darkroom (beta) for a stronger HDr effect, hope you dont mind.

See that's what I was after!!:thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

I've now started another thread trying to get my head round Photomatix, which is helping loads..........

Thanks for the effort:thumbs:
