Learning about lenses

This video popped up on my feed by accident, actually auto played after another video whilst I was out of the room washing dishes and started listening to it. Turned out it is super interesting.

It’s a talk by a Cine lens maker about lots of little things about lenses, from things that I already know to something really obscure, something movies specific to how to the technique to pass a lens to another person or storing lenses. Some applies to cine lenses only, some are super useful for stills.

Watched this one a while ago, was really interesting and cleared up a lot of questions I didn't know I needed an answer for!

The bit how they store the lenses when transporting is interesting. Widest Aperture and focus to Infinity so that the blades are closer together and on the outside. I've never really given that consideration before.
