Would anybody be interested in a bit of a learning thread. I know it sounds corny but we could give ourselfs a subject and work on getting a image for it . But I would like a little write up on why we took what we did and why..

For example I couid say this week I would like people to take a shot with there camera at its widest aperture and at its smallest aperture

And say why they took what they did . You would stuggle to get the same shot so its a good learning curve..

And we could have little themes each week...

I do not profess to know everything " in fact i know very little " But if we all work together we could all progress at the same time...


Anyone interested give me a shout and we / I will get the ball rolling...


We / I could even ask some of the experienced togs on the board to look at our work and help us on our way..

Good idea.

I do feel slightly :gag: at the thought of it as my confidence level is not very high and when you seen the postcount and who has replied above me (some folks who to me seem very good and very experienced :help:) but I can only get better by doing and practice. :)

This is not something you have to do every week.... It is a thing you can do if you want ...

I am sure a few member will just watch ...... BUT if members can watch and still earn something thats good imho.




I will do my best to do it every week but even i may slip LOL.

YOUR the kind of member I am looking at buddy... Your post count means nothing to me..

Your level means nothing BUT if you enjoy taking photos and want to learn this could well be the thread for you..

Sounds good, I'd love to give it a go. Having a real crisis at the moment, absolutely everything is going wrong, hope it will give me a lift.

I am probably not alone in feeling a little intimidated when I see the excellence of some of the Posters here.
I may never be a Michelangelo, but I can aspire to be a Rolf Harris
 
I'll do my best to join in as well, really struggling at moment since trying to give up that auto setting on the camera :-)
 
I could be interested, can't comit to do them all, work keeps getting in the way of my hobby at the moment :D
 
I will give it a go, you never know we might all get tips from the master that is MD myself :thumbs:
 
Sounds good, count me in, need to learn lots and a weekly project is a good way to do this.
 
I was thinking running a thursday to thursday As it breaks the week up for alot of people


Its not worth having it run for to long and only a weekend coulod put alot of folks off


Sounds like a few people are interested....



If people want to put a Suggestion forward for the 1st week feel free or i will pick something I want Lol

I'll play - I didn't want to commit to another 52 this year but I do miss the challange of being given a theme / subject to work to... this sounds spot on.

As it was your idea I think you should pick for the first week :thumbs:

Please dont think you have to do one every week ... " That would be far to much hassle"

But when you do want to do it or even help someone who maybe struggling then please help as thats what its all about....

I'd like to give it a go when I have the time. Nice to know I won't be the only one feeling a little intimidated, everyone else seems to post brilliant photos that I can only aspire to.

It took me ages to pluck up the courage to post a photo and have only posted one up. Not only you feeling intimidated!

THIS will start tomorrow night " Thursday" there is now time limit its just thursday to thursday.." OK so 12pm till 12pm "


I will let you know the 1st task tomorrow it wont be very technical but i would like to know the reasons for the shot....

I'll jump in with this as often as I can, just don't set your expectation of standard too high :thinking: probably best to think low :D then down a little....

If we all do our best and look at what others have done and read the reasons why they did what they did ..


All of a suddon we will all go AHHHHHHHHHH Thats why we / they do that now i understand....
