LCE cleaned my sensor but its got marks on it..

I paid £50 to get my sensor cleaned as i smearing crap across it with my brush after catching the sides of the sensor, same day service was needed hence the £50 as im off on holiday.

I got it back last night and had a look just now, on one side there are dried on stains that i assume are from to much cleaning fluid while they wiped it.

I have not noticed any image problem (just checked for dust spots) but is this classed as acceptable or should i be phoning up asking for them to do it properly considering the price for 10 minutes work (if that) ?

I would ask them to do it again, especially as you paid that much.
 
thanks lads, will phone and moan in the morning, i could have done better with a pec pad and some I.P.A spray!

bit of a bummer that im going to derby not nottingham 1st thing so they will have a short window to put this right, im off friday morning!

phoned up this morning to be told to bring it back to be re-cleaned and refunded the 1 day premium and todays parkings been refunded.

looks perfect now!
 
Problems will always happen, it's how they are deal with them that make a good company
 
All's well that end's well.

Things do go wrong from time to time and it is frustrating, but how the issue is dealt with is the real measure of customer service IMO.

yep, no problem at all, couldn't have asked for better, apart from checking it 1st time that is ;)

A shame they didn't check it 1st though, i doubt my LED torch on low has the lumes of there light used during cleaning and inspection!
 
I had the same problem last time I cleaned my sensor, the difference between two and three drops of fluid is enormous:shake: I sorted it myself with a Sensor Klear pen and loupe. You can pick them up for about the £50 you paid on amazon.

I haven't seen which branch you went to but I had a sensor lean at he Manchester one .... Never again !!! Lots of smears and looked worse than when I took it in.
 
It was Nottingham, would use them again due to the way they sorted it out.
 
Always had nothing but top class service at Nottingham LCE, glad to hear they sorted it for you :thumbs:

Glad you got it sorted out, seems you got good customer service when you phoned up - should have been sorted 1st time mind, but at least your up and running again...

Have a good holiday / hope you had a good holiday...
 
Thanks, cracking holiday, a few really nice days with the sun out (burnt with factor 30 on!)

brill meal on my Birthday and several pints of cornish real ale ;)
 
I paid £40 quid for Calumet to do it to get a couple of dust bunnies out but it came back with like loads of droplet marks all over it. Never again. £15 for 4 swabs and some cleaner off Amazon is MUCH better :)
