Just taken delivery of a 50D and looking at the 3" screen after having the tiny 1.8" on the 350D i feel i need to give it some kind of protection preferably something solid, can anyone point me in the right direction :help:

I have a solid one, think its a CCG or something similar, maybe CGS?

Very good and protects the LCD nicely, cleans up well from all my nose prints

If you go the soft route i have a new Fuji one you are welcome to

Canon already have a protected screen fitted BUT unlike the Nikon one it is flush mounted

So what your saying is the exposed bit is not actually the lcd but an outer hard screen cover

 thats it
If you look close you can see the LCD is just a bit smaller you can see the dark band around the edge

I see what you mean, that makes me feel better being a bit of a clumsy so and so.
I think i might still put one of them ccg jobbies on that tijuana taxi has pointed out to me.
Well thats another small problem sorted out, cheers all

I'm with this, although it's not actually the LCD I'd rather have something easily replaced covering it, something nice and cheap will do. Hmm, wonder if I can trim one of my pda protectors to size.

In fact it was GGS, had to go and have a look, was driving me mad

Still got a fuji thin plastic one if anyone wants it

GGS or Giottos covers are def worth a look, much easier (and cheaper!) to replace if you do happen to sctrach the screen

I've got a Giottos one on mine and it's good; easier to affix and position than some of the cheaper ones you can get.

The Delkin pop up shades/protectors are pretty good and are useful in sun so no good for Scotland today 9-)
Kaiser do some similar too so worth checking out

Regarding the Giottos and GGS makes, has anyone had to remove one? If so is it easy or difficult to do?
