Was always envious :p :p of Nikonians who are provided with a clear plastic cover covering their LCD screen on their Digitals. Wonder why Canon do not provide one or are they available for 350D anywhere on this planet.

I know you will say we have the clear film available @ Jessops and Kenro but it's still not like the plastic cover that Nikonians have?

Not sure if this is what you mean....but that's what I got. ebay

I´ve lost mine twice on my s2 pro not counting refinding the first one a couple of times by accident while out on shoots... doh. i´ve given up!

I was thinking of looking for something similar too, last year, but couldnt find anything. I could only find the hood version linked to above, which isn't the same as the Nikon jobbie and thus not what I was after.

In the end I gave up after being told that the screen on the 30D was quite tough anyway.

just rec'd one of those screens in the post this morning. ordered from an ad in the eos mag at 25 quid:bonk:
at work so not tried it yet but will let you know how it goes latter if anyone is interested?

Always good to read a veview PBH

I just use the clear adhesive covers because they're easy to clean and stop scratches.

I got THIS glass protector for my 30D a couple of days ago, you can get the same for other models/makes too. £7.98 delivered from Hong Kong in about a week. These guys are part of DigitalRev.

well first impressions out the pack are pretty good. seems well made and a good idea. fitting onto the camera is easy as is removing. first problem for me is that it is very close to the power switch on the 5d, almost on top of it actually. the switch is now recessed and quite akward to access. there is a fair amount of play in the fitting which seems at odds with a well made camera but does mean its easy to remove and as there is no adhesive so residue to worry about if you do. it does reduce glare quite and will protect the screen very well. took some pics and tried it with a nifty fifty on the camera and it was ok but i reckon anything bigger or more cumbersome on the front and balancing to flip the screen and then closing the sides to return it would be a bit to fiddilly.doesn't look good on the camera either kinda spoils the lines aestically(sp?)
some people will love them but its not for me i am afraid, seems like a great idea but not for me.
hope thats usefull to someone.
